Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am appealing to drop ENGL 223 and PSYCH 271 after the deadline due to ongoing health issues rendering me unable to attend class and complete assignments this term. For many years I have been receiving treatment for anxiety and depression, but beginning in September my symptoms became significantly worse, preventing me from attending class or leaving my home. Although I tried to keep on top of assignments in ENGL 223 and PSYCH 271 I was unable to do much of the work or to participate in online discussions. I have met with Dr Sharma at student health and I am currently reviewing my medication with a psychiatrist but this may take some time, and at this point in the term I am unable to catch up and will be unable to take my exams. I wish to continue with my one full year Latin class and attempt to take a reduced course load next term once any medication issues are sorted out and I am able to return to class.
