Petition Letter
Hello, I am writing to you today with hopes to acquire a no fault drop of my online course WRIT 120. This was suggested to me by my professor granted my current circumstance. In the first weeks of march, due to my genetic eye disease in which is on file under my accommodations with Queens; I had undergone a period of about two weeks where I could not complete any online assignments as I was unable to see for two weeks. Because of this, I had missed two assignments, and had undergone a similar situation earlier in the semester. Because of the online nature of this course, I was unable to simply sit in class and complete assignments orally, and I could not finish the online assignments. After speaking with the professor of the course, it was agreed that I would not be able to catch up in the class, and that I should seek a no fault course drop as due to my ongoing disability I have been unable to complete the course materials. I am very disappointed to appeal for a no fault drop, as I believe my marks are quite good aside from this course. I have tried to catch up, but sadly it has just but myself behind in my other courses, and I do not see a situation; nor does my professor, where I would be able to catch up with my work, or complete the remaining assignments. I hope that a no fault drop can be granted to me, as I have been dealing with these circumstances for some time, and have been trying to work around them. Unfortunately in this circumstance I have been unable to work around them.
