Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

I am appealing for the faculty¿¿s decision to have the following courses changed to credit standings, RELS 162, FILM 110 and POLS110 and for a late drop of PSYC 100. Reason being last year my mother had been told she had stage 4 cancer which took a major toll on my mental health and academics. Due to this I had to often go home to help my mother and be by her side leaving me unable to perform my best in these courses. My reason for not sending in this appeal earlier is due to the fact that I was not informed of this option until more recently after an academic consultation appointment. I was unable to drop the majority of these courses once I received the news of my mother¿¿s situation as they were full year courses. Thank you for taking time to review my appeal.
