Academic Plan
Throughout these experiences, I managed to do some research on depression and anxiety and found that I was enduring a lot of the symptoms, so I went to Roger Sen, my family doctor at Eagles Landing Medical Center in Vaughan, Ontario in June 2018. During that doctor¿¿s visit, I received a diagnosis of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Depression. At first, I tried a session of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Dr. Julie Cinamon on June 23rd, 2018 and found to create a trusting relationship. I also started antidepressants in August 2018 and ever since, I have been given the motivation to start putting the pieces to my life back together. Recently on April 5th, 2019, I visited Dr. Erica Farnworth at LaSalle to have a doctor that I could meet with more conveniently while at school. These interventions have positively changed my outlook on life and now I am more actively determined to successfully earn my degree. In such, I have planned out what courses need to be taken if my appeal is granted. I now know moving forward the significant impact of mental illness and how to utilize support systems offered to me in order to combat it.
