Academic Plan
Here is my plan to improve my grades:
1. I will better manage my time. My unsatisfying academic performance indicated my problems in time management. In the following semesters, I will make sure I have enough time spending on each course. I will establish a timetable at the beginning of each semester. In the timeline, I would mark each course's assignment, exam date, also the estimated time for reviewing and completing the assignment. I would guarantee that I leave adequate time for each task.
2. I will learn to utilize the resources on campus, such as the tutoring center and writing center. When I come across a problem in homework, I will promptly reach out to the tutoring services for help. I will also meet with the writing center to ask for help when I work on my essays.
3. I will strengthen my communication with my instructors and adviser. When I encounter something that I do not understand in my coursework, I will inquire my instructors, and for questions regarding course planning, I will contact my adviser for help.
4. I will make wise choice on class selection. One of the factor contributing to my failure of past semester is because I selected too many tough courses in one term. In the future, I will listen to advisor's suggestion on course. I plan to take two required courses, CHEM112, MATH121, and three elective courses BIOL205, CISC203, CISC204. If the adviser thinks I may face much pressure given the current course-choosing plan, I will drop one elective class and maintain appropriate credits.
5. I will improve my mental health. Before, I did not realize my mental status would significantly impact my study and did not even know the existence of counseling service. Now, I have understood the importance of mental health. I will make the appointment in counseling service to develop the mental health. I will listen to the professional advice of counseling staff and pay regular attention to this field. Also, I will develop the habit of exercising, which is a great way to release pressure.
