Petition Letter
Good evening,
My name is Tess Posine, I was a first year Queen's student last year, and Prof. Hart suggesting that I file an appeal for aegrotat standing for Film 214. Unfortunately when I was home for Reading week in February 2019, I was raped by a stranger. I was on a very strong medication to avoid HIV, etc. which made me very sick for the first month. I tried very hard to keep up with all my studies and assignments, but it was very difficult to concentrate, focus and study. But I continued to try. I was doing well in Prof. Hart's class, but despite my best efforts, I was unable to complete the last two assignments worth 35 of my final grade. Although I am in counselling and getting lots of support from family and friends, I still have flashbacks, and still have a hard time focusing and concentrating at times. As I completed the majority of the required work for FILM 214, Prof. Hart suggesting I file this appeal. If you need any further information, please contact Prof. Hart, as well, Barb Lotan is willing to provide a letter of support as well.
