Academic Plan
I have started following my academic plan since the beginning of this summer. After I met two career advisors in February and attended several history classes in the winter term, I planned to take History as my major and I¿¿m going to take four courses per semester first, if I am reinstated for the following semester. I have also chosen two history-related courses in this summer. At present, I¿¿m taking WRIT 125 and HIST 125. I go to Stauffer Library two times weekly just to let myself sit and read there for at least five hours. I¿¿m also performing good (around B+) in these courses so far. The good thing I find on myself is that although there¿¿s lots of reading and writing involved, I am willing to spend my time and vigour on it to overcome the upcoming problems. I can feel that I¿¿m gradually getting those good attitudes back. In this summer, I have truly understood the meaning of ¿¿before you want to do the thing you like, you have to do many things that you don¿¿t like¿. No matter what kind of troubles I¿¿m going to encounter in the future, I will always face it directly instead of fleeing. I cannot guarantee that I will make myself back to the top, but I promise that I will spend as much time and energy as possible on studying, and my name will never be placed on academic probation again.
I sincerely apologize for sending this letter late and for any mistakes I made in the past two years. And I deeply hope you can kindly forgive me and provide me an opportunity, a last opportunity, to let me prove myself and correct my errors.
Best regards,
Xu Han
