Petition Letter
Dear Madam/Sir,
Please accept this letter as my appeal to drop GRMN 101 past the academic deadline.
As much as I enjoyed the course and my first few weeks of studies at Queens, unfortunately after Thanksgiving I became seriously ill and was hospitalized for nearly 7 weeks. I was discharged the last day of fall classes and was unable to write any of my exams.
At this time I am feeling much better and while still under my Doctor's care, I will be attempting to return to school in January 2015. For the winter term I am planning on trying to complete ENGL 100 and FREN 100 (pending Professor approval), as well as taking GNDS 125 and ARTH 288 course. I will be meeting with my Doctor on January 12th and after this assessment should be given the requested medical documentation at that time.
I may still take GRMN 101 at a later date as I was enjoying the language and class.
Thank you for your consideration and support in assisting me with returning to life at Queens.
Best Regards,
Dana Mitchell
