Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean (Studies),
I am appealing my inability to reenter Psych 100B. On November 19th 2014, when attempting to rearrange my Winter 2015 schedule to better suit it for another course, I dropped Psych 100B in order to change my lecture time. I did not know that temporarily dropping one term of a full year courses was not allowed. SOLUS prompted me to drop my Psych 100A course in order to rejoin 100B. Fearful that I would mess up my then current schedule, I did not drop my Psych 100A course. I waited until the start of the Winter term to fix the mistake, thinking that once I had completed Psych 100A it would allow me to rejoin 100B. I continued to attend Psych 100A normally until the end of the term. Today, January 6th, I visited Student Services to rejoin Psych 100B as it had been removed from my schedule due to me dropping it on November 19th. However, I learned that because of the date of which I dropped the course, I am unable to join back and my Psych 100A course has also been jeopardized. Rejoining the course is highly important and vital to the rest of my year at Queens. I attended Psych 100A fully and am adamant to finish the rest of the course.
Thank you,
Leah Amaral
