Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to submit an appeal in request to drop two courses after the academic deadline. I accepted my offer of admissions for the fall term of 2014 found the change to be quite overwhelming. Over the first couple months I started experiencing severe anxiety, which progressed and lead to depression, as I have struggled with both in the past. As my mental health deteriorated I missed a significant number of classes. I could not sleep at night and experienced extreme fatigue during the day. I had more trouble concentrating and getting my work done on time, which was already a challenge since I have been diagnosed with ADHD. I was simply not able to do my work and get the marks I am capable of. Due to the extenuating circumstances listed above I wish to drop the two courses. I feel that the marks do not accurately reflect my abilities. I have decided to withdrawal from Queen¿¿s in hopes of attending Ryerson next year to reach my full potential.
Thank you,
Marlee White
