Academic Plan
To address my academic plan to add this course, I would first like to note that I would be dropping LISC 270 and thus would still have the same course load (5 courses). Before coming to the decision to submit an appeal, I reached out to a friend in GPHY 339 to find out some more information on the course. The first assignment due is a discussion post on October 2 therefore I have not missed any deadlines to date and have over a week to get acquainted before the first task. Additionally, there are very few lectures per week in the course and I could easily get caught up in a weekend. As previously mentioned, my friend (who is also my housemate) is willing to help me get caught up and answer any questions I have about getting started with the content. I am a good student in good academic standing and have a strong work ethic. I feel that I am capable of getting caught up while still managing my current courses.
