Academic Plan
I have dropped MATH121 to have room for DEV105 next semester; and if this appeal is granted I will drop CHEM112 to have room for LING100. As DEV105 is a 3.0 course I will make up 3.0 units in the summer term. I will also appeal to change degree plans at the end of this academic year.
During my discussion with Professor Bjorkman, it was decided that if my appeal was granted, I would take the two assignments passed as the eligible dropped marks and lose the opportunity to drop my lowest marked assignments in the rest of the course. We also discussed that depending on the time the appeal gets approved, I may receive the opportunity to do the quizzes I missed; if not I will receive 0 for these marks, which are approximately 0.5 of my total mark each.
I am currently doing well in all my classes so to avoid unnecessary appeals I am planning on continuing with all my classes that I do not need to drop to make room for LING100 or DEV105. Continuing with BIOL102/103 and PHYS118 is not an issue as the reason for my switch is based on long-term happiness and wellbeing, rather than doing badly in my current courses.
Note: When I met with an academic advisor she was looking at an old version of my timetable and noticed a clash with LING100 classes and my previous PHYS106 class. This is no longer an issue as my physics switched to PHYS118, and no longer clashes.
The following plan to catch up is based on the idea that I will begin catching up now, (I have access to the OnQ as an auditor until the appeal gets approved or denied) to avoid having even more to catch up on if the approval takes a while to be approved.
This load of work may seem very heavy but I have considered time restraints, non-academic responsibilities, and length of lecture videos etc. For example: doing 4 LING100 lectures in a day and understanding all the concepts is feasible as each lecture is only 15-20 minutes. I included both my LING100 work and work fo brother classes to be completed, to show how the other work will continue to get done.

At the end of this plan, Oct 12th, I should be caught up and can proceed as normal with extra added consolidation review periods to ensure I understand and remember every thing from LING100 that I covered within this week.
