Petition Letter
The evaluation that I am appealing is the Final Exam for MATH 221 of Fall 2020. I submitted the answers to Questions 1 and 2 in the wrong order, but when I met with my professor on Zoom after the exam we agreed that my answers to these questions would be reconsidered with the questions ordered correctly. However, upon reconsideration I still received a score of 0/10 for Question 1, which I do not understand since my answer is correct. I reached out to the professor of the course to further discuss the marking of this question, and I was told that I had not solved the dot product integrals correctly. In the Lecture Video 70 for this class, the professor does an example with a dot product integral of a constant vector field very similar to the ones I solved in Question 1. The same process was used to solve this integral as I used on my exam, leaving me to think that my solution is correct.
I have attached the Final Exam questions, my solutions (in the correct order), and the relevant screenshots from Lecture Video 70 for reference.
