Petition Letter

I am appealing to add CHEM 223 late.
The reason why I was unable to add the courses on time was due to the fact that I was diagnosed with a medical condition and required intensive treatment for the past couple of months. I was unable to complete my courses last semester, and also was unable to add the class as it was full. I am currently in South Korea right now because of COVID-19 with my parents for financial reasons, and have been receiving treatment here. I am well into my treatment now, and have been seeing good results which is why I am able to complete my schooling now. My medical treatment required me to be in and out of the hospital almost every day and because of COVID-19 restrictions in Korea, I was not able to fully admit to the hospital that resulted in lots of travel time to and from the hospital. My treatment was very mentally and physically draining and I was not sure if I would be able to return to complete my courses. My doctor told me at the time to only focus on my treatment.
I am currently enrolled into two CHEM courses. I was able to add them in last semester as there was room. As for CHEM 223, I have previously taken it more than once before, but was not able to complete it because of an ongoing mental illness that I have now found the right medication and treatment for, and once because of COVID affecting a family member last year resulting me in suddenly having to move to Korea. I was unable to afford the medication at the time for my mental illness, but my doctor registered me as a student with a disability for OSAP and allowed me to get funding for the medication. Since I have previously taken the course, I have all of the notes and have completed all the labs. I am confident I will be able to complete the course. Please grant me access to adding this course. It is the last course I need to graduate this year. I only have a couple months left to be able to graduate, and my treatment is showing good results, so I have decided to just push through and finish my schooling. I am also taking a much lighter course load this semester to be able to do so. I will manage my time and workload wisely. I am very sorry for causing so much trouble for everyone. I will do my best in order to graduate this spring.
