Petition Letter
Hello,
I am a fifth-year student here at Queens University. I am currently majoring in Gender Studies with a minor in Sociology. During the Winter Semester of 2020, I was dealing with ongoing mental health issues that have been impacting me my entire time here at university however, that specific semester happened to be one of the worst. I had made the decision that I would be dropping my course load down to one course, in the hopes to save my GPA and my mental health and focus on one course for the remainder of the year. In the mists of a panic attack, I had made the decision to drop these courses however, I accidentally dropped the wrong course (SOCY 276). I ended up keeping one of the courses I wanted to remove and removing the course I had completed. I had completed SOCY 276 with Ashley DePaola and dropped it, keeping SOCY 309 which is an F on my transcript.
I have email documentation confirming the completion of the course, as well as ample email conversation chains with Annette Burfoot and others.
