Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I wish to drop the class BCHM 316. Recently my grandfather passed away which has taken a toll on my family and also my mental health. He passed away the day before the deadline (March 5th), but had been sick for the previous few weeks. I would have dropped the class earlier in the semester, but I had not received a significant amount of feedback in order to inform my decision. I have been struggling in the class and have decided that dropping the course would be best for my marks in other classes and also my overall GPA.
I plan on changing my major from a biochemistry major to a history major, so I would have no need to retake the class. And I have no personal desire to retake the course as it does not hold my interest.
I had filed a previous appeal but mistakenly wrote that I wished to drop BCHM 317 instead of BCHM 316. I wish to be re-added to BCHM 317, but removed from BCHM 316.
