Petition Letter
Hello,
I have an appeal towards my final presentation (Pechakucha Presentation) for CLST 205 that I took in fall term. The presentation was the final piece of work to be completed and I did request evaluation with the TA and professor but was only partly given an adjustment. The presentation itself had required to us to create the Pecha Kucha format on a power point slide in which each slide had to be 20 seconds duration of voice recording with images. I prepared all that was required and did extremely well as it shows on the rubric. The concern comes from losing marks in terms of the way it was presented. I did not see the option of taking each individual slide I prepared and how to compile it together. It was strictly mentioned to use powerpoint only and this is where the TA suggested I could have used MP4 file to compile. That would go totally against the point of using a powerpoint submission. I also would understand if I had to present this in front of a group of people in which the individual recordings felt strange. Instead, this would have only helped out the person marking to see how perfectly I recorded. I did my research in terms of the option I clicked for recording as to what it showed online as well to how to record on power point. The professor mentioned, I could have asked and sort of ignored my entire perspective. How would it be that something I see as valid and a method to record as to how a power point is needed, I would have felt it is wrong It is a simple thing in which that overall slideshow part of the rubric was kept at level 2 due to that. It was totally unfair to put in lots of work and while recording everything well to either get ignored or be told I could have created an MP4 file I simply do not unfollow what the actual requirements are and hand in different formats. I hope my grade get's adjusted as it was crucial to be 1 off from the next grade bump.
