Petition Letter
I am appealing to enroll past the adding courses deadline in BIOL 102 (summer term). My enrollment is late because I have been going through the process of switching from GEOE to GEOL for the last few months. With complications surrounding Majors and Specializations, I was not informed that a BIOL credit was necessary for degree completion. Looking at the course requirements for graduating next spring, a BIOL course is required. Since all my courses surround GEOL, I am confident that a BIOL course during the regular semester will conflict (especially if we are in person). I am trying to enroll in BIOL 102 late because it is my only opportunity to get a BIOL before graduating next spring. With the confusion of switching degrees and constant communication struggles, certain courses got confusing to navigate enrollment. My academic situation is unique and hard to explain, but it has resulted in this past deadline request.
