Academic Plan
Moving forwards, I aim to get at least a 3.0 GPA in my summer course, and all future courses. Most importantly I want to continue to learn about my greatest passion - biology.
I am registered in the biology program, however as of current I do not meet the requirements to take next year's biology course. I am re-taking biology in the summer, and I am on track to be able to take my required courses.
I do plan on reducing my course load, however, I will still take enough courses to remain a full-time student. I believe that this year's course load was only overwhelming due to extenuating circumstances, however a slightly reduced course load will better allow me to improve my GPA.
My strategies for success will revolve around managing my challenges with academic skills, and my personal circumstances.
As I discussed in my appeal letter, being unmedicated made it extremely difficult to do anything - especially managing school stress from things like exams. To manage this problem going forward, I plan to better manage my mental health and make use of academic resources offered to me. I plan to leverage my support network to improve my mental state and ensure that there are no delays in receiving my medication, by picking up my prescription long before my current mediation runs out. I also plan to make better use of academic advisors and student wellness services and come to them immediately if I have any sort of issues in the future.
