Academic Plan
After experiencing severe burnout, I took a self-given break and feel as if I can go back to my old working habits. With studying strategies and planning that helped me pass the IB, I am sure I am able to complete my work and do it extremely well. Over the past year, I realized that I simply had a huge mental block to doing work, not that the content or quantity was challenging. However, to keep me from hitting that same mental block this following year, I think it would be tremendously helpful if I could have regular meetings with an academic advisor over the course of the year. An action like this would keep me on track and focused on my end goal of achieving my degree. I am extremely ready and focused for the potential return of class in the fall. Another aspect of my life that I am willing to change is going back on my Anti-Depressant. I stopped using them right after high school and I believe that starting to use them again full time will be extremely valuable to my concentration on my goals. I have made an appointment with my former psychiatrist to do this.
