Academic Plan
Something that I have failed to do, was reach out and make use of all the resources that Queen's had to offer as I assumed that it was just my own failures, however throughout this summer I have taken the first step, something I have always struggled with, in finding resources that could help me through this period and I continue to do keep making use of my resources if given the opportunity to. Something I plan to do immediately when I get back, is make use of the academic advisors and learn how to fix my GPA and figure out what paths are truly open to me. In the previous years, I was naïve and thought that I could figure out everything with no guidance and that I could fix every problem, however I am learning that this is not the case anymore. I have begun to understand that I am not above needing help. Beyond that I plan to make use of seeking help from professionals and figure out what is going on with my mental health. I want to be able to focus and prove not only to the school but to myself that I am capable of being an excellent student. To do that, I believe that I am not going to give myself any second chances or risk, I want to be able to determine all risks that could occur in my future schooling with advisors and figure out ways to counteract them before they could even happen. As I adjust to a new lifestyle as a student, I plan to take a lighter course load as well, in order to make the adjustments a little easier and be able to apply whatever learning or focusing strategies I learn better.
