Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Willemijn Poelen and I am a third year life science student. This summer I am enrolled in IDIS 199 and am requesting to write my final exam, which is scheduled for August 9th, on an earlier day. This is because my family will be traveling back to The Netherlands, from Vancouver, on August 7th to visit my grandma who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. If taking travel time into consideration, I will not be arriving to my grandma's house until late afternoon on August 8th and will most likely have some jet leg. It is for this reason that I feel I will not be able to perform at my best for the final exam if I were to write it on the scheduled time. Therefore, I am asking if you would consider letting me write my final exam before my trip so I have a chance to perform in better conditions.
