Petition Letter
Dear Associate Dean.
I am writing to you to request an appeal for an international letter of permission (ILOP).
I was recently informed, as late as August 1st, that my family will be relocating to Paris, France for a term of 6-months as my father completes a project with UNESCO.
Given my dependent status, I planned on accompanying them to Paris. I hold a European passport so the legal logistics of this move is a non-starter.
In light of this, I reached out to the American University of Paris. They are willing to grant me admission to take one economics class, and one communications course as a part-time student and an E.U citizen. A huge opportunity.
I would like to ensure however that the classes that I take a transferable back to Queen's so I can graduate in the fall.
Given I am a fourth-year student, I am writing to you to request an appeal for this international letter of permission necessary for me to seize this opportunity.
Thank you,
Kieran McConnell (20043755).
