Academic Plan
I'm enrolled in my desired degree programs. I'll have MATH 120, MATH 111, PHYS 104, and CISC 102. Both math classes are recommended to students who are planning to major in Statistics. I didn't face any difficulties during STAT 263, but I don't want to spend my energy and time repeating the same thing that I already learned. Since my high school didn't have any economics classes, ECON 111 will be a new experience to me and would provide fundamental information to understand the market. Additionally, STAT 263 had all morning lectures. I had to walk for 15 minutes to go to the classroom which was in the farthest building in the main campus. It was hard to manage my time because I prefer taking lectures after 10AM. ECON 111 has the classroom near my residence and it starts from 6:30 to 9:30 on Monday. I can finish this class in one day so I'll have more time for other days. I didn't tend to miss classes.
Also, if I take ECON 111 this semester, I can take higher level courses from Economics or Commerce next semester or next year. ECON 111 is required as a prerequisite for upper level courses, therefore, it will expand my course choices. For instance, ECON 111 is required for ECON 255. It's better to take finance related courses as well to show my interest and dedication to Finance to get a job in the finance industry as a Statistics major.
Even though I'm dropping MATH 110, I want to take MATH 111 because I heard it is more understandable than MATH 110. MATH 111 is still appropriate to prepare for higher Math courses while MATH 110 is totally impossible to understand.
