Petition Letter
I am appealing CISC101, PSYC100, and WRIT125 without academic and financial penalties (Summer, 2021) , and requesting to register in POLS110A: 001-LEC(2797), 031-TUT (2875);PSYC100A: 001-LEC (2927), 072-LAB (3007);DRAM100: 002-LEC (1695), 009-LAB (4607); CISC101: 002-LEC (4535); GPHY102: 001-LEC (5139), 009-TUT (5147).
In my country, I was planning to take online classes during the 2021 summer. But my parents suddenly got sick heavily, and I spend all of my time taking care of them. My mom accidentally falls from the string of Aerial yoga, about 1 meter high, then 4 of her transverse process spines was fractures, after staying hospital for one week, we back home, because all she could do is laying on the bed, even for excretion. Just after one week, my dad needs nerve-blocking surgery to beat hemorrhoids, so I look after them all the time.
When my mother was hospitalized, after the day of dropping the class without academic penalty but before dropping courses without financial penalty, I thought I could catch up on the courses by hard work, but after few days, I realize the facts do not allow me to do that. For one month after they were ill, every morning, I help mom excrete by bedpan, cook, went to the food market, clean room, meeting with the doctor, comforting my parents, accompany them to exercise for rehabilitation, after finishing trivial things, after the busy whole day, I cannot agree a student still have high focus and efficiency. If I truly finish classes during the period, it is both not responsible for my classes and my parents. I just want my parents to recover perfectly as soon as possible, later, I could focus on the academic session.
Now they all recover well, so I could back to school, focus on myself, and I think the accident could and must only once.
