Academic Plan
I am currently enrolled in HLTH 416 and HLTH 437 and would like to add my final seminar to my schedule. Knowing that I will be at least four weeks behind in the course, I plan to strategically use my time effectively and efficiently to catch up on previous work to be successful in the course. Based upon the Arts and Science FAQ online, approximately 10 hours should be dedicated to each 3.0 credit course. Therefore, I have missed 40 hours of dedicated study time for KNPE 400. Based on my academic plan I have decided to dedicate 4.5 hours daily to KNPE 400 for 7 days a week for 9 days. This will equal 40.5 hours over the span of 9 days, meaning that I will be up to date within the course. I know that this plan will work because I currently treat school as a full-time job and dedicate approximately 8 hours a day to my schoolwork (7 am-3 pm). Additionally, this will not impact my other courses because I will use the other 3.5 hours in my workday to dedicate 1.75 hours per course, per day. This will equal 12.25 hours each week dedicated to my original 2 courses, HLTH 416 and HLTH 437, meaning that I will exceed the recommended study time per course. Furthermore, I will make an appointment and speak with Dr. Gilchrist directly upon being enrolled to discuss missed content, and upcoming due dates to ensure that I am on track to successfully complete the course.
Overall, I know joining late to KNPE 400 will require hard work and discipline to be successful. That being said, I hold my academics in high regard and I am prepared to dedicate my time to KNPE 400 to successfully complete the course and graduate in December.
