Dear Dr. Atkinson,
I have received written support for my appeal from the faculty of Arts and Sciences through the Sociology Undergraduate coordinator, Thomas Abrams. I have flexibility within my major to enroll in Sociology option courses so long as they are above the 200-level and can be pre-approved by the Sociology department to count towards my degree requirements. This far, I have completed the 18.0 units of Core Sociology courses and received the necessary letter grade and have completed 18.0 out of my 42.0 SOCY option courses. Should I be able to go on exchange, I plan to take the equivalent of at least 6.0 units of sociology courses, leaving, 18.0 for my fourth year. This will allow me to complete my final year of studies at Queen??s University with ease. As a member of the concurrent education program, I have been granted permission from my academic advisor Taylor Liggett to drop my concurrent education courses for the remainder of third year and instead take both PROF-310 and PRAC-310 during my fourth year of studies.
