Petition Letter
To Whom It May Concern,
I'm Qianrui Yao majoring in Computing and my Queen's Student ID is 20175363. As a junior, I have some reasons why I need to take fall-session courses at another institution during Fall 2021. I'd like to make the best use of my spare time to complete some courses and transfer the credits back to Queen's, thus I can spare more time for planning my internships and my application for graduate studies. I guess I will get well prepared for my future plans if I could take more courses in my spare time and graduate earlier.
The host university is a Malaysian university, New Era University College (NEUC), and I'm planning to take four courses on a LOP during this Fall term. The courses I will take at the host university are:
CS 326 Software Quality
CS 330 Computer Networks
JAPN 101 Introductory Japanese I
JAPN 102 Introductory Japanese II
which are respectively equivalent to Queen's University's:
CISC/CMPE 327/3.0: Software Quality Assurance
CISC 335/3.0 Computer Networks
JAPN 100/6.0 Introductory Japanese I
I will contact my department to get a written permission and appeal to the Associate Dean (Studies).
Please kindly do me a favor to approve of my Letter of Permission.
