Petition Letter
The grades necessary for me to decide whether or not to drop the course were unavailable at the time of the deadline. Up to that point, I had completed 1 assignment (100%) and the midterm (90%), having dropped the 1 allowed assignment in order to focus on other classes at the time. In the months after the drop deadline had passed, I was unable to keep up with the course, but it was already too late to drop the class.
