Appeal Letter:
To Whom It May Concern,
I'm Jingheng Yan majoring in Geography (GPHY), and my Queen's ID is 20098933. Due to covid, my flight in Jan was cancelled so I need to take some winter-session courses at another institution during the Winter 2022. I'd like to make best use of my spare time to complete some courses and transfer the credits back to Queen's University, thus I can spare more time for planning my internships and my application for graduate studies. I guess I will get well prepared for my future plans if I could take more courses in my spare time to make sure I can graduate in time.
The host university is a Malaysian university, New Era University College (NEUC), and I'm planning to take two courses on a LOP during this Winter term. The courses I will take at the host university are:
AST 101 Astronomy I
MATH 223 Calculus III
PSY 101 Introduction to Psychology I & PSY 102 Introduction to Psychology II
SOCI 101 Introduction to Sociology I & SOCI 102 Introduction to Sociology II
which are respectively equivalent to Queen's University's:
ASTR 101/3.0 Astronomy I: The Solar System
MATH 221/ 3.0 Vector Calculus
PSYC 100/6.00 Principles of Psychology
SOCY 122/6.00 Introduction to Sociology
I will only choose 6.0 credits of these courses to take, and I will contact my department to get a written permission and appeal to the Associate Dean (Studies).
Please kindly do me a favor to approve of my Letter of Permission.
