Petition Letter
I missed the last date to add a course to my plan because I tested positive for COVID and was in isolation. I experienced horrible symptoms and the rest of my family caught it as well, including my father who is over 60 years old. In consideration of this, I was also sorting out my degree requirements with the environmental science department to find a substitute for a geology course that didn't fit into my schedule. This is my last semester at Queen's and if I don't get added in both of these electives (originally I only needed one but with the substitutions change to my plan I now require two electives) I will not be able to graduate. I was extremely sick during the period of time I had to add an extra course, and because of changes to my plan my requirements changed. For my degree, I need to have completed 120.0 units. With my current enrollment, I will only have 114.0 units. Because we were able to move some of my courses to count in my Plan, I need additional electives rather than more Plan courses. I really need to graduate this semester and I cannot afford to be taking another year at Queen's for two courses.
