Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

I failed SPAN 111 during the fall semester. I did not put adequate work in and, as a result, did not succeed in the class. Prior to the exam, I worked with a tutor and I was beginning to feel confident with and excited about the material, but it was not enough. If I was given the opportunity to repeat the class, I would continue to work with a tutor, attend each class and complete the work diligently and on time. This is not the academic standard to which I hold myself and I am confident I can do better in this class with hard work.

I am meeting with an Academic Advisor on February 7 at 9:30am to discuss ways to move forward. If I was given the opportunity to repeat the class this semester, I would be extremely grateful. I know I can do better than this.
