Petition Letter
Dear all,
I am Lingxi Yu, I'm currently a fourth-year student majoring in physics and minoring statistics. I am writing this appeal letter for requesting to drop LAW 206, leaving DR in my final transcript. The reason for this is that my personal schedule is so busy that cannot support me spending more time on this course to maintain a good performance. I start feeling overwhelmed during the midterm period, but I thought I can handle this, However, last week, I experienced my health issue, had a fever of up to 38 degrees for 3 days, and then went to the KHG emergency during the weekend because of gastrointestinal problems. Because of this, I missed a chunk of the assignment, adding one due to the issue of my busy schedule, I missed about 30% of the course so far in total.
I am sincerely apologetic about the situation, however, I have to leave the priority to the physics and statistics course, in order to meet the graduation requirement. Also, I hope I would have less bad-looking GPA because I am applying for graduate study. Now I also have to catch up on the stuff I left from those, course content, the assignments, and the experimental report from the physics lab. All of these are making me more stressed and I think I have to give up on this LAW course at this time.
Thanks for your time to read my appeal, I would appreciate it a lot if my appeal can be passed.
Regards,
Lingxi
