Petition Letter
During the 2021 Summer ARTH 120 course i was faced with a few circumstances that have negatively impacted my studies. I was faced with my family getting covid at the same time - losing my job and struggling to find work to supplement my lost income. I was physically ill, and in a crunch for time to find ways to pay my bills while trying my best to pay attention to my studies. this was extremely difficult for me during this time. I eventually found cash jobs lifting pallets for a factory while doing car deliveries for local stores during the day. with this added stress in regard to income i couldn't possibly find time to complete course material efficiently. i didn't have time to focus in the way i previously did (i previously maintained at 3.0) . id like to mention this is the second time during my study at queens that i had incomes due to covid. my workplace was forced to pause working twice during the pandemic. Covid is no longer ruining my ability to generate income. i have found income in a essential service, this will guarantee my income struggle will no longer be an issue. this job also gives me the ability to focus on my studies as it is more consistent. i have also taken the necessary precautions to make sure covid will not affect my health as bad.
