Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
Hello,
I am submitting an appeal to add a course after the May 14th deadline. The reasons for this delay on my part are both financial and personal. In attempting to add the course this week I was first required to pay fees due to the university. While paid, this required processing time, both on my institutions behalf as well as the registrar, which would extend past the 14th, thus eliminating my opportunity to meet this deadline. I had hoped to meet this deadline, but was unfortunately unable do to this unforeseen delay.
Contributing to this delay was an impromptu trip out of Canada to care and assist a member of my immediate family as they recover from an essential major surgery. Their locale does not have readily available access to internet services. Taking precautions and following local healthcare Covid-19 protocols prior to my family members surgery also affected my ability to access an internet source, as well as consumed my time.
With the fees paid in full I ought to have found myself able to register for the MATH 121 course in the normal fashion, but unfortunately the processing period for payment was overlooked, a delay that was compounded by my inability to attempt the process at an earlier time due to the nature of my trip out of Canada.
Thank you for your consideration.
