Petition Letter
I am requesting an appeal for the PSYC 100 and CLST 150 courses I took this year because, during the winter term, I decided to come off my anti-depressant and anxiety medication because it started making me not feel good or like myself after about three years of taking it. After choosing not to take it, I was going through horrible withdrawals to the point where I felt on edge all the time and couldn't focus on anything. My depression felt 100 times worse, and I couldn't control it since the only way for my withdrawal to pass was to let it pass on its own. School is my top priority, but I realized I could not do well in school if my mental health was not okay, and I needed to fix that first. Now my doctor is helping me go through this and figuring out how to cope with it.
