Petition Letter
Dear Queen??s Academic Appeals,
I am writing to please grant approval to drop PSYC 397 Summer 2022 academic courses after the deadline. I have recently caught COVID 19, and alongside the sickness with my already intact extenuating circumstances outlined in my previous QSAS forms, and with the time spent away from school due to my summer job and outside work retreats these situations have impacted my ability to complete coursework for this course. My instructor for PSYC 397 advised I take a late drop in which she would support, so I was hoping that her support can allow me to drop the course late without a ??Drop?/??Withdrawn? sign shown on my transcript. That would be most ideal since the recommendation came less than 24 hours after the deadline to drop without academic penalty came. I plan to re take this course again in the future, which can be easily done, so I??m hoping based on my various physical and mental health circumstances, and support from the instructor, which I can forward in writing too for evidence, that I can be granted permission to drop after the deadline and still without academic penalty/without any Drop/Withdrawns shown on the transcript.
