Academic Plan
Last year when looking into a letter of permission I spoke with an advisor. Together we planned out what my year would look like last year and potentially what it would look like for my fourth and final year if I chose to take two courses away at another university. Last year I was able to manage taking 6 courses in my first semester and 7 in my second semester all while completing each course with high grades to boost my GPA. In addition, I completed my business certificate that I had been working on since my first year of university. This year I will need to take 2 film credit courses and 6 electives to finish my degree and graduate. I plan to take one film course per semester and 3 electives per semester. In my first semester I plan on taking 2 of my electives from Arizona State University (host university). With this plan I will be able to manage my courses as I will be taking a much lighter course load than past years ultimately helping me spend more time on these courses and achieve academic success. With this plan I will be able to take the required courses at Queens while also taking 2 courses of my choice that I strongly believe will help me succeed and have the right skills for my future career. Although I have figured out an academic plan for this year, I have an appointment with an academic advisor this week to confirm that this is my best option for my goals and degree completion.
