Petition Letter
I have been in touch with numerous departments regarding a collection notice for a course which I enrolled in but due to family and work considerations dropped the course via a voice mail message which I now understand was not the procedure. I received no notification from Queen's that I was in arrears on the tuition even though all my information is a matter of record, you stated that someone had tried to contact me as a Pre-Collection Process This was of course during COVID shut down and I just assumed all normal procedures had been handled internally regarding this matter.
I am a 76 year old practicing Orthopedic Assistant and Therapist and find this whole thing quite disturbing as I have never received a collection in my whole career and question why I was not notified before sending this to collection.
I intend to further my studies even at this young age but this matter gives me pause.
I appeal to the administration to grant my appeal on the basis of my misunderstanding and a lack of communication by the University.
Thank you for consideration of this matter.
