Academic Plan
My name is Cailing Zhang, a student specializing in Computing and Mathematics with professional internship. I have completed 3 year of study and 1 year of Co-Op.
To graduate as planned in 2023, I need to complete 30 credits / 10 courses including 4 cores, 3 options and 3 electives in my last year to fulfil my degree requirement. These are CISC 365 (core), CISC 497 (core), STAT 463 (core), MATH 311 (core), CISC 422 (option), MATH 401 (option), CISC 465 (option) and 3 elective courses. If my appeal is granted, in 2022 fall term, I plan to take CISC 497, STAT 463 and CISC 422 at Queens and COMP 372 (equivalent to CISC 365 at Queens) and an elective at Athabasca University. In 2023 winter term, I plan to take MATH 311, MATH 401 and CISC 465 at Queens and 2 electives at Athabasca.
Since I have only 3 in-person courses for each term and my online course schedule at Athabasca is flexible, I have more energy for my on-campus study and get succeed. Moreover, I can manage my Athabasca online course studying pace by allocating Athabasca assignments to the weeks when Queens assignments and exams are not crowded. It helps me to feel more confident to participate in courses at Queens. By having a transition period of schoolworks, it will relieve my stress and help me maintain a balanced mental health. After completing the one core and 3 elective courses at Athabasca, I will apply for credit transfer by the second week of May in 2023 to ensure graduation on time.
