Petition Letter
Hello,
My name is Aalijah Khan, I am second year undergraduate student in the Bachelor Of Commerce Program, and I am looking to drop LLCU200.
I know it is past the deadline to drop a course, but I ask that you read and consider my circumstances.
In order for me to meet the credit requirements of my Commerce degree, I had to take two personal interest credits this semester in order to meet credit minimum. This brought my total course load to 6, 3 unit courses this semester. I thought that I would be able to manage this course load. I, however, was wrong and had quite a difficult time managing my time, and developed severe anxiety and chronic stress. This mental health devlopment severely impacted me and as a result I had a complete collapse in my lifestyle, which saw me for a period not able to complete any work whatsoever. As a result, I had to take evasive measures in order to see my a somewhat return to a normal functioning lifestyle, which was quite difficult for me. This lead me to turning my efforts to improving my mental health, and prioritizing my main Commerce courses as they hold a greater importance to me. In turn LLCU 200 was neglected, but it was necessary for me to do so as I had to fix my health so I could see myself survive.
I would hope to see LLCU 200 dropped from my courses due to the fact it will have a severely negative effect on my GPA which will effect me in my future prospectives of employment. Also to be frank in a sense, I took LLCU200 as a personal interest credit, and for it to have such a major effect on my future while not being essential as a required course is quite detrimental.
I hope my case was able to convey my feelings and experiences effectively and I do hope you'll see how important this is to me. Thank You
Regards,
Aalijah Khan
