Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
My name is Anne McDermott, I am a fourth year student studying Philosophy and Politics. I am writing to appeal to drop a fourth year seminar, PHIL 464.
This year, and especially this semester, I found very overwhelming. I was attempting to take two fourth year seminars this semester, which was challenging to begin with. In addition, throughout March I experienced a depressive episode ¿¿ I found myself sleeping in through classes and unable to complete work assignments. My work in PHIL 464 suffered especially, as the first assignment in that class was due at the onset of my depression, while I struggled with work in my other classes. As a result, I have still not completed any of the work required for this course.
I do not require this course to complete my degree, and so I am hoping to be able to drop it.
Thank you so much for your time,
Anne McDermott
