Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I feel as though I have been graded unfairly in this course and I would like to have my work reviewed by another party. I feel as though I put in a great deal of effort in this class with no support or guidelines from the instructor. This is a problem for me and many others in the class taught by Cameron Greensmith in the genders department. Mr. Greensmith gave my first assignment a zero, which seems impossible to me that none of what I had said was worthy of a grade.
I feel as though Mr. Greensmith showed a bias with student¿¿s work and unacceptable grading methods that were not clear to the students. I am questioning my grades because of the way this course is run and after all the effort and time I put aside for this course, I am determined to receive a passing grade. I took Gender studies in first year and again this semester and did very well, therefor not passing a class I attended every lecture and did all the work for as well as try and receive extra guidance from the professor is unfair. This professor had unclear guidelines and was never available for the students to meet with him outside of class hours.
In conclusion, I would like to have my term work regarded by a third party to eliminate any biases that may be present, and for a chance to get a fair mark on my work which I deserve. All the students, myself included pay a lot of money to attend our classes and hope to learn about the subjects we are interest in. After my meeting with the associate dean of undergraduate studies we have decided that appealing my term work and having it regarded was the best solution for this issue.
Thank you,
Charlotte Fulton
