Petition Letter
To whom it may concern,
I am submitting a request to extend the completion of my course assignments for DEVS 393 into the spring term. I was absent on medical leave due to a physical illness that deteriorated incredibly quickly. My leave of absence was spent in the hospital during which I received treatment and was unable to look at any of my assignments. My leave of absence began on November 25th and went on until January 5th. Since coming back from medical leave, I've had to catch up on a tremendous amount of work while simultaneously balancing a new course load. While I am in the process of completing most of my outstanding assignments for most of my fall courses, there is one course in particular in which that is not the case. At the moment, I simply cannot balance my outstanding assignments for DEVS 393 and my new courses. For this reason, and alongside recommendations from academic advisors and my professor for DEVS 393, I would like to extend any assignment deadlines for DEVS 393 into the spring term. This extension would allow me to successfully complete any additional outstanding work and succeed in my classes this semester. This extension would also allow me to graduate in April 2024.
