Introduction, Submitting Petitions or Appeals and Petitions or Appeals Status
Please note: You must be a student in the Faculty of Arts and Science to submit this petition or appeal. If you are a student from another faculty and wish to submit a petition or appeal regarding a course offered through the Faculty of Arts and Science, you must do so through your home faculty office.
Before You Start
This process takes time. We recommend that you draft your petition or appeal letter and collect and prepare all of your petition or appeal material ahead of time (see the list below for what you need to include). If you have everything ready in advance, it should take about 15 minutes to submit your on-line petition or appeal.
Caution! Once you start working on your petition or appeal, you cannot save the information or close the application and return to it later so make sure you leave yourself enough time to complete and submit it.
You will need:
- A valid NetID and password. Need help? Visit Queen's ITServices.
- A petition or appeal letter. You will need to write a letter explaining what your petition or appeal is regarding and what the extenuating circumstances are surrounding your petition or appeal.
- Supporting documentation. (You can submit your petition or appeal without documentation and have it follow at a later date. Your petition or appeal will not be reviewed until all of the required documentation has been received.)
- Other required documentation. See the Documentation Chart for more information on what other documentation is required for your particular petition or appeal request.
