Withdrawing and Returning to Studies

Step 1: Request Type

Select the category that applies to you:*
This includes any student who graduated from Queen's with an undergraduate degree from any faculty. Please note: Graduate students are not eligible to use this form.
Are you also completing a Concurrent Education degree in addition to your Arts and Science degree?*
Concurrent Education students should also consult with the Faculty of Education prior to withdrawing and returning to studies. We advise you to contact your ConEd Advisor directly.
What type of request are you making?*

You are planning to voluntarily take a temporary break from your studies for any/unknown amount of time, or permanently leaving Arts and Science/Queen’s and don’t plan on returning. You have not been required to withdraw from studies due to your academic standing or due to an academic integrity sanction.

You are planning to return to your studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science after being away for a duration of one term or longer. You are not currently serving a requirement to withdraw. Students who were away on a Letter of Permission, Exchange or Internship program do not need to complete this form as they may resume their registration through SOLUS. Students who have been away from their studies (no course registration) for longer than 16 months since they were last registered will be required to complete the Program and Plan requirements in effect at the time of their Return to Studies.

Do you have a specific return to studies plan?*
If you are returning to studies: during your time away from Queen’s University, did you attend another educational institution of any kind?*
If you are returning to studies and you attended another educational institution during your time away from Queen’s University, what type of institution did you attend?*
If you are returning to studies and you attended another university during your time away from Queen's University, how many units did you complete at the other university?*
If you are returning to studies and you attended a college during your time away from Queen's University, how many credits did you complete there?*
