Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Greetings ArtSci Undergraduate Department,

My name is Matthew Yuen, I am a first-year student planning to major in environmental sciences. I enrolled in the Bio 111 course at the beginning of the semester and have been waitlisted ever since. Originally, the waitlist was being reduced drastically fast, resulting in my assumption of enrollment. As a result, I attended each lecture and completed each assignment. Later in the semester, I have previously submitted an academic appeal for enrollment in the course, conversely, it was stated that there is no opportunity presented as the course is full, and the only course of action was to wait. I have followed up with staff and departments to aid in finding a solution, which results in another academic petition. I have spoken to the department of biology, and they have stated there are two spots available and must complete another petition. I have spoken to professor Orihel, and she has aided me in attempting my enrollment in the course, alongside agreeing to vouch for my situation. I have completed each assignment presented, as well as the midterm.
