Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear whomever it may concern,

I am writing this petition letter to request permission to drop one of my classes due to extenuating circumstances that have significantly impacted my academic performance. The class in question is BIOL103.

I have been struggling with anxiety and other mental health issues for a significant period of time. These issues have directly impacted my academic performance, particularly in this class. The anxiety and other mental health issues I have been dealing with have made it difficult for me to concentrate and focus on my studies, causing me to fall behind in my coursework and ultimately leading to a poor grade.

These extenuating circumstances have been ongoing for a while, and I have been doing my best to manage them while also keeping up with my academic responsibilities. However, I have come to the realization that I am not able to continue with this course due to the severity of this issue and the impact on my academic performance.

I have consulted with my family and I will seek help and support for my mental health issues.I am therefore respectfully requesting permission to drop BIOL103. I believe this would be the best course of action for my mental health and well-being, as well as my academic success in other courses.

I would like to assure you that I am fully committed to my studies and have every intention of making up the missed credits at a later time. I hope that you can consider my request sympathetically and grant me the opportunity to drop this course.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Melissa Adamson
