Petition Letter: Hello, dear Associate Dean?
I am Yuting Wang from Art& Science2025, my student number is 20280449. I am here to apply for the petition to cancel my course grades from 2021 fall semester to 2022 fall semester and winter 2023 semester due to my very unhealthy mental and physical reasons. I suffered from severe anxiety and depression since I was in Grade 12. With the help of a psychologist, I graduated successfully. However, after I returned to China, my anxiety and depression were not relieved. The process of online classes in the first year was not successful for me, and I didn??t know how to communicate with my classmates in university, I took a year off from school on the advice of doctors and family members, but I didn??t know that I needed to apply to the school. I only sent an email to my Prof teacher to explain my situation and I could no longer continue to take courses. I also had to have stomach surgery during that time due to binge eating and was only able to eat through a special diet. It has been going on for more than a year and I have been traveling to and from various hospitals. I came back to Canada in 2022 November because of the recurrence of gastritis, but I couldn't finish my fall term courses because I have missed most of the exams and assignments. I only started formally in the winter semester. Although I am still a little uncomfortable, I am also studying hard. But I just realized that I made a big mistake. Since I did not formally apply for a leave of absence from the university. I failed all my courses last year. My longing for Queens?? university supported me to go back to school, and I am very eager to finish my university life here.
