Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Reviewer,

I am requesting my course (MUSC 104) grade be transferred to CR (credit).

I was in a car accident, and since then, I have dealt with physical pain and discomfort. This has made it difficult for me to focus on my coursework. Between 2017 and 2022 was the most painful time for me; I constantly needed to go back to Toronto to do surgery and therefore missed most of my school life as well as classes, I tried to communicate with my school psychologist, but in early 2020 COVID interrupted all my plans, and I had to return to China for distance learning, while in the country I experienced my father's derailment, my grandmother's death due to illness, and the interruption of the most major of my physical treatment, I suffered mentally and physically. My internet problems made it difficult to log in to the school website, so I did not apply for course drop and CR courses in time. I could not focus on campus at all and even used for 2020 CR only after being reminded by the adviser. However, I missed the CR application for MUSC 104. All my documents are in Ventus.

Given these circumstances, transferring my course grades to CR is appropriate. This will allow me to maintain my academic progress without compromising my GPA. I will also acknowledge the extenuating circumstances that have affected my ability to perform at my best.

I appreciate your consideration of this matter. I will be happy to provide any additional information or documentation needed.

Sincerely,

Jenny
